Area 3 Novice & Summer Circuit

In Show Highlights by JMQH

The last Area 3 show of 2015 was a GREAT one for the JMQH Team! We have had some new faces join our team – at Summerama we welcomed Julie Scrivo & Harvards Tuition. And at this show we welcomed Cathy Lemieux and Justa Lady Star. Both ladies and horses are going to be a great FUN addition to our line up for next year!

A big Congratulations goes out to our High Point Winners:

  • Jessica Mosley-Cairncross & Simply A Rapstar were High Point Novice Amateur’s on Friday
  • Emily Levesque & Charlies Version were High Point Youth 14-18
  • MacKenzie Harvey & Lopin Bubba Dun were High Point Green Horse

We also saw some great individual results as well:

Congratulations to Carol Strachan and Lazy Lopin Guy on their Performance Halter debut with a Reserve Championship and 4+ AQHA Points. Jodi also had a very successful show with Tyler 1 & 2nd in the Green Trail and 2 & 3rd in the Junior Trail earning 9.5 AQHA points!

Shelley Scriver & Remember Me Good had an excellent show with wins in Novice Amateur Trail and Select Showmanship. Jodi and Xena were 2nd in the Green Trail and 3rd in Green Western Riding. On Friday, Julie Scrivo showed Xena in Showmanship and had a GREAT go – with a 3rd place finish out of a very competitive group of horses. Great job!

Denise Collins & Ima Natural Secret showed to a top 10 finish in the Novice Amateur Showmanship on Sunday and had a great go in the trail Friday! Hannah Buijs showed Casper and had their first WIN in the Novice Youth Equitation and continued on to have 2nds in Hunter Under Saddle and Equitation the next day! Jodi showed Casper to a 4th in the Green trail adding more AQHA points to his record. Very happy with this young horse – he has a BIG future ahead of him!

MacKenzie Harvey & EBG Certainly continued their winning ways with a clean sweep of the Open Ranch Riding this season! And as usual had excellent Western Riding and Showmanship results as well with top 3 placings.

MacKenzie Harvey & Lopin Bubba Dun had a very exciting show with a WIN in Aged Geldings and top placings (and POINTS) in Trail, Hunter Under Saddle, Equitation, Western Riding and Horsemanship. Bubba and Bosco even got to go in Grand and Reserve Halter together – thanks to Jody Pearce for leading Bosco in!

Sheza Zippo Two continued her amazing winning streak with her multiple riders! Alex Nicol had WINS in the Amateur Equitation and Novice Amateur Western Riding. Allyson Nicol was 2nd in the Green Western Riding and in the top placings in Open Trail and Open Western Riding. And finally Tricia Nicol and Christi REALLY had a great go in the  Novice Amateur Showmanship with a 4th and 5th out of 23. Job well done for all 3 riders and especially for Christi!

Leslie Riley & Just Playin Star had a great show with top 3 placings in Select Showmanship, Hunter Under Saddle, Horsemanship, Equitation and Amateur & Open Ranch Riding! Excellent work!

Jessica Mosley-Cairncross & Simply A Rapstar showed what an awesome team they can be when it all falls into place! High Point Novice Amateur for the Novice Show…with a BIG WIN in the Amateur Showmanship and top 10 placings in Trail, Equitation and Western Riding. Perfect timing as we head off to the Novice Championships and Congress! Well done!

Christine St. Jean and Zippers Graduate had a stellar show with WINS in the Rookie and Novice Amateur Trail and top placings in Western Pleasure. They are ready to go for the BIG show – the All American Quarter Horse Congress! WooHoo!

Cathy Lemieux & Justa Lady Star had a great start with the JMQH team with top 5 placings in Novice Amateur Trail, Select Trail and Select Showmanship! Way to go Cathy – you are going to really rock it next year! Oh, and thanks for my gorgeous new show jacket!

Emily Levesque and Charlies Version rocked it out with WINS in the Youth Trail, Showmanship, Horsemanship, Western Riding, Equitation and Hunter Under Saddle. Especially exciting on top of all that was her 2nd & 4th place finish in the Senior Trail out of a tough group of horses! Way to go Emily and Marshall!

Arlene Hayes & BMQ How Sweet It Is were top 10 in the Open Trail and their Western Riding classes! This team is really going strong and will be awesome in the Western Riding next year!
